Biography : I hail from a rural area in Central Punjab, Pakistan. I graduated in International Relations from International Islamic University Islamabad. Currently, I am in the final stage of my Post-graduate studies along with that I recently gave Civil Services Exams of Pakistan, and write opinions in newspapers. During my studies, I completed an internship as Communications Assistant in 2022 at a private news agency. I worked with the Center for Sustainability Research and Practice and organized International Youth Summit with the help of Government officials in pre-Covid times. I had to overcome several challenges during my graduate studies to be able to meet my expenses as my father is visually impaired and my mother is a Technical Institute teacher due to which I worked online as Content Writer and joined Ernst and Young as Third Party Field Monitor in the semester break of 2017. However, I did not let my studies be affected in any case and participated in extracurricular activities actively. I was also selected as a Finalist in the World Youth Essay Competition. I am always inclined to learn which encourages me to join this platform to be able to lead teams efficiently in the future. I want and have been trying to be an inspiration for girls as the society where I am brought up is a gender-segregated one having a clear demarcation between men and women due to patriarchal cultural norms and values that have a strong influence on people’s lives. This is especially for women who are limited to their homes. Those who do enter the public space for higher studies or work have to abide by clearly defined rules and any defiance of such rules leads to sanctions and disrespect. Going out for studies from a small village with limited resources was a challenge and a positive change in itself that encouraged girls and women in my society to get quality education. My work as an Organizer of the 3rd International Youth Forum brought talented youth from across the globe to Pakistan where I made sure that they must be pleased about their visit to Pakistan, and gain positive knowledge through discussions on various global challenges related to climate change, human rights, and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, it spread the message of peace that my country is a peaceful country and seeks friendly relations with foreigners. Many delegates before their arrival showed their concern about their security in Pakistan because of the history of terrorism-related issues in the past, which was not what Pakistan wanted. My work at Ernst and Young as a Field Monitor is a dream for many and a motivation for many girls who in a patriarchal set-up think that women cannot do fieldwork. I earned during my studies while not neglecting my academic responsibilities. My proven leadership as a chair of student clubs, winner of essay writing competitions, and an active participant in extracurricular activities throughout my academic career provide a roadmap to youngsters. I have taught and mentored several children and young adults in school as well as in different camps. During the pandemic lockdown, I taught English and Urdu online to the foreigners (Chinese, Thai, Indonesians) studying at my university and we utilized our time well to learn and exchange thoughts, which is very helpful for them to communicate with the locals in Pakistan. Nowadays, I am working to launch my own Hair oil and face serum brand, along with that clothing brand to be operational in Pakistan and in the UK. I believe I have become such a spare part that can do well in most of the domains after a little training due to my life experiences in different areas. However, I am looking for a creative and dynamic environment to work as a result of which this organization really attracted me.
